We’re inviting members, guests and friends of the Hospital Radio Plymouth, past and present, to join us at our celebratory dinner dance.
We’re celebrating 50 years of visiting patients, collecting requests and broadcasting to Derriford Hospital and its offshoots this October.
To celebrate this milestone, attendees will enjoy a three-course meal, musical entertainment and have the chance to reminisce and make new friends on Saturday 5th October.
The evening will also include the 50th Anniversary Prize Draw, with a chance to win an Amazon Fire tablet donated by Foot Anstey LLP, a £200 voucher from Brittany Ferries or dinner, bed and breakfast for two people at Future Inns, as well as a host of other prizes.
Station Manager Andrew Hill said: “Fifty years is a remarkable milestone to reach, and we’re thrilled to be able to share the celebrations. We’re looking forward to seeing friends past, present and future at the event.”
Our multi-award winning station has a team of volunteers who visit patients in hospital, collect requests, put together programmes and make sure there is a friendly voice at the patient’s bedside 24/7.
Programming Manager Keith Jolley said: “Hospital Radio has touched the lives of thousands of people over the past 50 years, it will be great to see some of those faces again and build relationships for the future.”
