HRP Standard Rate Text Competition Terms
STANDARD TEXT RATE SPECIFIC TERMS

1. SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 – These terms and conditions (referred to as the “Specific Terms”) govern the rules, terms, and conditions for HRP’s competitions that utilize the standard rate text number.

1.2 – These Specific Terms are in addition to the General Terms set out by HRP  (also referred to as Hospital Radio Plymouth) for all competitions, available on the HRP website. Please refer to those General Terms before reading this document.

1.3 – In the event of a conflict, these Specific Terms take precedence over the General Terms.

2. ENTRY

2.1 – These competitions can be entered via standard rate text message. Entrants need to send their answer (in the format provided on-air), followed by the letter ‘X’ in an SMS message to the designated competition number.

2.2 – SMS text messages are charged at the standard network rate.

2.3 – Any text messages sent before the competition has officially opened or after it has closed may still be charged, but your entry will not be counted. Entries are received upon arrival, not based on the time they were sent.

2.4 – SMS entries must be sent to the correct number and in the correct format as specified by HRP. Any incorrectly formatted or sent entries will be void.

2.5 – HRP is not responsible for any network or mobile phone issues that prevent an entry from being received.

2.6 – Entrants should ensure they have the bill payer’s permission before sending any text messages.

2.7 – Entries can also be submitted via email when this is advised by the presenter.

3. THE PRIZE

3.1 – Prizes for standard rate text competitions may vary. The specific prize for each competition will be announced by the presenter.

3.2 – For event-based prizes (such as tickets), the winner must be available on the date of the event. Transport or accommodation is not included unless specifically stated.

3.3 – No cash alternative is available for any prize.

3.4 – The winner may be required to collect their prize from the HRP office or an alternative location as designated by HRP.

3.5 – Winners will be announced on-air, and for time-sensitive prizes like event tickets, they must be collected or arrangements made for delivery within a reasonable time.

3.6 – Some prizes may be posted using standard UK mail services. HRP accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage in the post.
